About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Resnova (“Resnova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit our website, request early access, try available features without an account, or later use our resume builder and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information we collect

Early-access and account information

If you request early access, we may collect your email address and any information you voluntarily submit. Account creation is not yet required to try available features. When accounts become available, we may collect your name, email address, authentication details, profile information, and preferences.

Resume and career information

If you try a resume feature, we may process content you choose to enter, such as contact details, work history, education, skills, links, resume content, or job descriptions. Unless the interface clearly says otherwise, content entered in a no-account trial may be temporary and may not be saved after your session. Please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your resume.

Usage and device information

We may automatically receive information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, and diagnostic data.

Payments are not active

Resnova does not currently accept payments, and no payment gateway has been selected. If paid plans launch, we will update this policy before collecting payment-related information. Payments will be handled by a third-party provider, and Resnova does not intend to store full card numbers or card security codes.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Manage early-access requests and communicate product availability.
  • Enable available resume editing and trial features.
  • Provide resume saving, job matching, exports, and application tracking when those features become available.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts and the Service from abuse or fraud.
  • Respond to questions, support requests, and feedback.
  • Send essential service notices and, where permitted, product updates you can opt out of.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that process it on our behalf and only as needed to deliver the Service.

  • Supabase: Resnova plans to use Supabase for cloud database, authentication, storage, and related backend infrastructure as account and saved-data features become available.
  • Payment processor: none is currently connected. If paid plans launch, we will identify the selected provider and update this policy.
  • Operational providers: hosting, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery, and customer support providers we may use to operate the Service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will not share your resume content with employers or other third parties unless you choose to do so or authorize the sharing.

Data storage and international transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Data retention

We retain early-access information for as long as needed to provide launch updates or until you ask us to remove it. Trial content without an account may be processed temporarily and may not be retained after the session unless the interface clearly states otherwise. When accounts launch, we will retain saved content while an account is active and delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period after a valid deletion request, subject to legal, security, and backup requirements.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. When accounts become available, keep your credentials confidential and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, download, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You may unsubscribe from early-access emails through the link in a message or contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and core functionality. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide notices and choices where required.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
