About these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Resnova website, early-access program, no-account trials, resume builder, and related features and services (collectively, the “Service”). Resnova is currently under development, so some described or displayed features may not yet be available.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who may use Resnova
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
Early access and product availability
Joining an early-access list does not guarantee admission, a launch date, continued access, or the availability of any particular feature. Screenshots, pricing, plans, roadmaps, and feature descriptions may be previews and may change before release.
We may add, change, suspend, limit, or remove development and trial features at any time. Trial content used without an account may be temporary and may not be recoverable after your session ends.
Accounts
Accounts are not required for currently available no-account trials. When accounts become available, you must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
Your content
You retain ownership of resume content, job descriptions, application information, feedback, and other material you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You grant Resnova a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, format, process, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information that is unnecessary for your resume or job search.
We will not share your resume with employers or other third parties unless you choose to share it, authorize us to do so, or disclosure is required by law. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate applicable law or another person’s rights.
- Upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the Service.
- Access another user’s account or data without authorization.
- Probe, scan, overload, scrape, or test the Service in a manner that harms its operation or bypasses access controls.
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, experience, or other material facts to deceive employers or others.
- Use automated systems to create excessive traffic or extract substantial portions of the Service.
- Copy, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Resume and job-match results
Resnova provides tools to help you draft, format, review, and compare career materials. Outputs, suggestions, scores, and job-match results are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not legal, recruiting, immigration, financial, or professional advice.
You are responsible for reviewing your resume, verifying its accuracy, deciding what to submit, and ensuring it meets an employer’s requirements. Resnova does not guarantee interviews, employment, applicant-tracking-system performance, job suitability, or any other outcome.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, templates, illustrations, and documentation, is owned by Resnova or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the Service or Resnova’s intellectual property to you.
You may use a resume you create with the Service for personal and professional purposes. You may not redistribute or sell Resnova templates, assets, or software as standalone products.
Feedback
If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of your resume or other User Content.
Third-party services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services. Resnova plans to use Supabase for database, authentication, storage, and related backend infrastructure as saved-data features become available. Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.
Pricing and payments
Resnova does not currently accept payments. Displayed pricing and plan details are previews and do not constitute an offer or guarantee of future pricing. No payment gateway has been selected.
Before paid plans become available, we will update these Terms with applicable billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, tax, and payment-provider terms. You will be shown the applicable price and conditions before making a purchase.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, misuse the Service, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export saved content before a non-urgent discontinuation.
Service provided as available
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Because Resnova is in development, interruptions, errors, data loss, or feature changes may occur. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation where such disclaimers are legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Resnova will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Because paid plans are not currently available, a monetary liability cap will be added and presented before paid services launch.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the updated Terms and change the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
Applicable law and disputes
Applicable law and dispute procedures depend on Resnova’s operating legal entity and location. This section must be completed before public launch. Until then, nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
